Amanda Brugel

(February 27 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on that part of the island of Montreal known as"the West Island. This part of Montreal is known as the West Island has a lot of diverse communities. For those who haven't heard of it often confuse it with an island that is west-facing. Amanda Brugel is said to have been born on West Island, although this isn't the truth. Brugel lived in Courtice outside Oshawa Ontario. The first goal she had was to become an actress, however, after a rapid expansion, she and her partner were no longer able to dance with her. In an article published by Toronto Star, she revealed that in heels she was 6 feet 1 inch tall. As I got bigger than my male counterparts, I gave up. The Brugel is one of the former dancers who shifted to acting. Her teacher from high school encouraged her into the right direction. She was encouraged to take part in an audition in her school's production. After trying out the role, she was chosen as the leading lady in Anne of Green Gables. When she was awarded the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship, she enrolled in York University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 2000. Brugel's career spans over 20 years and she's appeared in 60 different productions including big screen productions and smaller ones. Her most notable role was the one of Rita (pictured in the below photo) on The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel played the role of Rita in the Handmaid's Tale the series filmed over ten years ago.
